His Lordship was born on 02.11.1969 at Kamta Village of Arwal District, Bihar to late Mahabir Singh (a farmer) and late Bhagywani Devi (house maker). He did his schooling at his native village itself and Intermediate of Arts from Patna College, Patna (P.U.) and shifted to Delhi for higher education. He did his B.A. (Hons.) and M.A. in History from Ramjas College of Delhi University and LL.B from Campus Law Centre (D.U.) and started legal practice in 1998 in Delhi appearing before District Courts, Consumer Commission, Service Tribunal, Delhi High Court and Supreme Court dealing with Civil matters, Consumer matters, Service matters and writ matters. He also dealt with some Criminal matters before District Courts, Delhi High Court and Supreme Court.
After legal practice for about 12 years, he joined Bihar District Judiciary as Additional District & Sessions Judge on 01.05.2010. He served Bihar Judiciary for about 12 years till he was elevated as Judge of Patna High Court on 04.06.2022. As a Judicial Officer, he worked as Principal Judge of Family Court, District & Sessions Judge, Special Law Secretary and Director, Bihar Judicial Academy.
